Yes — every new Chilly's client gets a free meet & greet at home before we start. It's a chance to meet you and your dog, learn their routine, understand any quirks or red flags, sort keys/home access and answer your questions. It's also your chance to decide if we feel like the right fit.

Chilly's runs weekly routes through 60+ suburbs across six Melbourne councils: Glen Eira, Bayside, Port Phillip, Stonnington, Monash and Kingston, including suburbs like Caulfield, Brighton, St Kilda, Toorak, Glen Waverley and Mentone. Yes — every Chilly's walker is fully insured and police-checked. We carry public liability and pet care insurance, and we'll happily share documentation at your meet & greet. Your dog (and your home) are in vetted hands.

Chilly's offers three core services: solo dog walks (45 or 60 minutes), Adventure Daycare (a 2 to 3 hour outing, door to door, van ride included) and pet & puppy home visits for dogs and cats. On every walk we also reinforce the training cues you're working on. We'll recommend the right combination based on your dog's age, energy, temperament and your lifestyle.

You'll get a photo and written update after every walk and adventure. See where your dog went, how they behaved, and a snapshot of them mid-walk — usually within an hour of drop-off. It's our favourite part of the day, and the proof that they had one too.

Chilly's is right for most dogs who need consistent exercise, company and mental stimulation — and whose humans value safety, communication and reliability. We work with high-energy dogs, anxious or shy dogs, puppies, seniors and multi-dog households. If we ever feel we're not the right fit (e.g. your dog needs specialist behaviour work), we'll be honest and point you to better options.

Yes — Chilly's regularly walks reactive and anxious dogs, usually with solo walks only. We'll ask about your dog's triggers, how they respond to other dogs and people, what tools you use (harness, muzzle, head collar) and what training you've already done. We avoid situations that overwhelm your dog, and if a trainer alongside walks would help, we'll say so.

Yes — Chilly's walks puppies in an age-appropriate, positive way. Shorter outings, controlled social exposure, lots of sniffing, toilet breaks and basic training reinforcement — not long, intense walks. We always follow your vet's advice about when your puppy is allowed outside and around other dogs.

Yes — Chilly's cares for many senior dogs and dogs with ongoing medical conditions. We adjust pace, duration and terrain, build in rest, and prioritise comfort over distance. We'll ask about your vet's recommendations, medications and red flags, and may request a vet clearance for certain conditions.

Yes — Chilly's walks multiple dogs from the same household, as long as it's safe. We assess each dog's size, strength, behaviour and how they interact. In some cases, we might suggest walking them separately (e.g. very different energy levels) to keep everyone safe and relaxed. A second dog from the same home is 50% off.

Chilly's isn't a formal training business, but we reinforce the cues you're already working on — sit, wait, loose-leash walking, recall. If your dog needs behaviour modification or structured training, we'll recommend a qualified trainer and integrate their advice into our walks and visits.

Solo walks are 45 or 60 minutes. Adventure Daycare is a 2 to 3 hour outing, door to door, with the van ride included. For puppies, seniors or dogs with health issues, we may recommend shorter or gentler walks. We adjust to what's best for your dog on the day rather than chasing a stopwatch.

Yes — Chilly's aims to keep your dog with the same regular walker so they build trust and routine. If your usual walker is sick or on leave, we'll introduce a backup walker, fully brief them on your dog's needs, and let you know exactly who is coming.

Chilly's generally walks dogs on-lead for safety. We may include off-lead time in secure or designated off-leash areas, such as our privately hired fields, if you've given written permission, your dog has reliable recall, and the environment is suitable that day. Off-lead decisions stay at the walker's discretion and can change based on weather, other dogs in the area and how your dog is behaving.

Chilly's chooses routes around your local area — nearby parks, residential streets and designated off-leash spaces where appropriate. We aim for a mix of exercise and enrichment (sniffing, exploring, moving at your dog's pace) while avoiding unsafe or overly stressful environments.

Chilly's walks in most normal Melbourne conditions, including light rain and cooler days. In extreme heat, storms, high winds or hazardous conditions, we may shorten the walk, move it to a cooler time, or convert it to an indoor enrichment visit. Safety first, always — and we'll communicate with you if we need to make changes.

On walk days, your dog needs a well-fitting harness or collar, a secure lead, access to fresh water, and any tools you want us to use (muzzle, specific harness). A towel out helps if they're prone to mud. Not sure what gear suits your dog? We'll recommend options at your meet & greet.

Yes — Chilly's is set up to walk your dog while you're at work. With your permission, we securely hold a copy of your keys or use your building's access system to collect and return your dog safely. You'll still get photo updates so you can see what they've been up to.

Chilly's can sometimes offer weekend or evening walks depending on demand and staff availability. Weekend walks carry a $20 surcharge. If you specifically need weekend or after-hours help, mention it in your enquiry so we can confirm what's realistic.

Our day care is Adventure Daycare: we collect your dog from your door in the van and head out for a 2 to 3 hour adventure, mostly in secure, privately hired fields, and sometimes a quiet park or beach for small groups. It's six dogs at most per walker, then home happy and properly tired, with photos sent to your phone. It's made for high-energy dogs, social dogs or dogs who find long solo days tough. An adventure is 2 to 3 hours door to door, with the van ride included. Depending on where you live, travel can be 1 to 1.5 hours of that, so we never pretend the whole time is spent in the field. Adventures run on set days with limited weekly spots, and we confirm your pick-up and drop-off window at booking.

Chilly's groups dogs by temperament, size, energy levels and social skills — not by filling numbers. There are six dogs at most per walker. We only group dogs together when it's safe and beneficial for all of them. If your dog is better suited to solo time, a quieter environment or a different mix, we'll tell you and adjust the plan.

Your dog is likely suitable if they're generally friendly with other dogs, cope well with new people and environments, and have the energy to enjoy a bigger day of activity. Extremely anxious, highly reactive or noise-sensitive dogs may find day care overwhelming at first — we may recommend a gradual introduction or focus on walks and one-on-one visits instead.

Chilly's requires day care dogs to be up to date with core vaccinations and any additional ones your vet recommends for group settings. We'll ask to see your dog's vaccination record before their first day to keep every dog in our care safe.

If we notice your dog is stressed, overwhelmed or just not enjoying day care, we'll talk to you honestly about it. We might suggest solo walks, smaller groups, shorter days or a different mix of dogs — or pausing day care altogether. Your dog's wellbeing comes before filling a spot.

For an adventure, your dog just needs their harness or collar and lead, plus any medication with clear written instructions. If they have dietary needs, leave the treats they're allowed. We'll confirm specifics at your meet & greet.

If your dog becomes sick or injured in Chilly's care, we immediately contact you (and your emergency contact), assess the situation, and seek veterinary advice or treatment if needed. We follow your instructions where it's safe to do so, but we won't delay necessary care if your dog is in distress.

If your dog shows aggression we weren't aware of, Chilly's pauses services and discusses what happened with you. Depending on severity, we may recommend behaviour work with a trainer, switch to solo-only services, or in some cases decide we can't safely continue. Safety for your dog, our team and the public comes first.

Yes — Chilly's can usually administer simple medications such as oral tablets, liquid medicines, some eye drops and topical treatments, with clear written instructions. For complex schedules, injections or high-risk drugs, we'll assess case-by-case and may suggest some treatments stay with your vet.

Yes — Chilly's team members are trained in basic canine first aid and we carry a first aid kit on every walk. We're not a veterinary practice, but we can handle basic first response and will always escalate to a vet when your dog needs professional care.

Chilly's uses secure, well-fitting harnesses or collars, avoids unsafe environments, and manages introductions to other dogs and people carefully. We adjust routes based on weather, traffic and your dog's behaviour. Off-lead only when appropriate and authorised — we take your safety instructions seriously.

Chilly's is experienced with dogs who have mobility issues, sensory impairments, chronic illnesses or other special needs. We discuss your dog's limitations, vet advice and daily routine, then tailor walks or visits accordingly — gentler routes, shorter durations, extra support or specific handling.

Book Chilly's by filling out our online enquiry form, sending an Instagram DM or email, or calling us on 0430 921 951. We'll ask a few questions about your dog, your location and preferred days, confirm availability, then set up a meet & greet. After that, we lock in a regular schedule or casual plan.

Solo walks are $70 for 45 minutes or $80 for 60 minutes. Adventure Daycare is $79 for a 2 to 3 hour outing, door to door, with the van ride included. Pet and puppy home visits are $70 for 45 minutes or $80 for 60. A second dog from the same home is 50% off, and weekend walks have a $20 surcharge. Yes — Chilly's offers better value for regular ongoing bookings than for one-off casual services. If you know you'll need help a set number of days per week, ask about package or multi-session pricing for the most value out of a consistent routine.

Chilly's cancellation policy requires 24 hours notice to cancel or change a booking. Cancellations inside this window may be charged in full or incur a partial fee. We explain the policy clearly when you start and remind you in your welcome info.

Yes — Chilly's accommodates casual or one-off walks in Melbourne where our schedule allows. Regular clients get priority for peak times, but if you need ad-hoc help, ask and we'll either fit you in or recommend options if we're fully booked.

Weekend walks carry a $20 surcharge, and some evening or public holiday services may carry a small surcharge too. We're always upfront about this before you confirm a booking, so you know the cost in advance.

Yes — you can change your regular days or times with Chilly's as long as we have availability. We just ask for as much notice as possible so we can reorganise routes and offer freed-up spots to other clients.
