We know which end is off-lead
Como Park North is on-lead. Victoria Gardens is off-lead in the sunken oval only. Ardrie Park is the Howard Street oval. The detail that avoids a fine.
Small parks, serious walking.
Stonnington is the densest patch we work in. Chapel Street on one side, the Yarra on the other, and a council that has squeezed 26 off-lead parks and reserves into nine suburbs. They're smaller than the big suburban reserves further south, but there are more of them, and they're closer together.
That changes how we walk. Rather than one big park session, a Stonnington route usually links two or three green spaces — a stretch along the Yarra from Como Park, a loop through Victoria Gardens, a run at Orrong Romanis before the sports lights come on. More variety, more sniffing, less time in the van.
It also means a lot of our dogs here have no backyard at all. We plan the walk knowing it's the only outdoor time they'll get that day.

The parks on our regular Stonnington routes. Council off-lead areas are open all hours, but dogs must go back on-lead during organised sport and training.
Como Park
South Yarra. Off-lead at Thomas Oval Dog Park, Williams Road and Alexandra Avenue end. Como Park North stays on-lead, and the Yarra path runs straight off it.

Prahran. The sunken oval at the southern end is the only off-lead area — the rest of the gardens are on-lead. Seats, bins and water taps with bowls right around it.

Prahran. Big unfenced sports oval with proper turf and floodlights, so it works late on winter afternoons. On-lead whenever training or a match is running.

Malvern East. Off-lead on the oval at the Howard Street end only; the playground, tennis courts and gardens are on-lead. Shaded tables and a water tap with a bowl.

Yes. Como Park is one of our regular South Yarra spots. Off-lead time happens at Thomas Oval Dog Park at the Williams Road and Alexandra Avenue end. Como Park North is on-lead only, so we keep leads on until we reach the oval.
Yes. Most of our Stonnington dogs live in apartments. We handle fobs, intercoms, lift access and building keys, and we agree the access method with you at the meet and greet. Keys are tagged by dog name only, never by address.
Glen Iris is split between both councils. The southern part sits in Stonnington and the northern part sits in Boroondara. We walk dogs across the whole suburb either way, so the boundary makes no difference to whether we can pick up from you.
Often, yes. We match groups by size, energy and temperament rather than just filling a van. If a group isn't right for your dog, we'll say so at the meet and greet and suggest a solo walk instead.
